Catlett Custom Home by Cornerstone Homes VA

The client was ready to move from the city to the country. After purchasing a new piece of land ready to build on, we helped them design a new home that would fit their needs.

The Goal

The goal was to create a home with charm and a bit of the old home place feel to it.

The Transformation

We transformed bare ground into a move-in ready home.

Details That Made the Difference

• We used rustic white oak posts and beams for the porches.
• We built custom cabinets for the kitchen.
• We installed a standing seam metal roof.

Challenges

The property was very exposed to the view of neighbors. The only building spot available was a low area that did not drain well.

Solution

We brought in soil to build up around the house, creating proper slope and drainage away from the home.
